to all of you, from kyoto

In the darkest hours, we find the strength to fight back, and we will not surrender now or ever. An exhibition is a modest and somehow absurd way to prove ourselves to the world, but this is the only one that we have found, and through it, we managed to stay alive, while fear, devastation and death is still striking Japan. We are here, all by ourselves to appreciate and face this utterly critical situation. We will go through it with honour and dignity. This is what our exhibition stands for. A message of hope. A message for life. Whatever it takes.

Tonight, this exhibition with Mathieu Mercier, Takaaki Izumi, Yuki Kimura, Soshi Matsunobe, Kaz Oshiro and Koki Tanaka will open. We will not have an opening party, but we will simply welcome all our friends who are in Kyoto, to share this moment. To be together united.

To the people who died, to those who survived, to those who lost everything, to those who pray for us.
