devendra banhart is an inspired artist. his website is like a kaleidoscopic trip, his drawings resemble mayan and aztec arts and his music is always original. folk but not folk. indie but not so indie. weird but so so weird. after all he has been picked and produced by michael gira and later he's been dating the black swan natalie portman. not bad at all.
patricia armocida has proposed a trio show with devendra, his flatmate adam tullie -also a promising illustrator-and keegan mchargue. it's a good show to visit as devendra sensual drawings are a sign of the times. by the way, he wasn't there at the opening but he will come to milan for the finissage in may.
