The future is no future

I've been visiting the Europunk exhibition at Villa Medici, Academie de France in Rome, a splendid location up there in Trinità dei Monti. I must say it's always quite emotionally intriguing to rediscover
things that changed my life for good -as punk for me never died and surely is never going to die.

Here we are with that very infamous couple starting their label that will revolutionize fashion and its victims forever and ever. malcom (R.I.P.) is recently gone and we miss him already..

.. more clothing (jean paul, raf, lee and many others own vivienne a great lot...)

In theory European punk is a very disputable issue and the French curator had the courage to dismiss all of the Italian glorious punk history from this show. are you crazy in the head? where have you been?
here is few links to Italian punk history of the 70's and 80's
wiki  gaznevada cccp fedeli alla linea wretched and anyway ask marco philopat  next time around..

SEX is awalys been a subject for punks and here we are with some odd practices

The catalogue of Europunk will be soon published by drago the street culture publishing house led by one my dearest friends Paulo Von Vacano

Other doubts? why on earth do we need to see the same usual temple to Ian Curtis? that's very post!

and finally a series of pics showing the sometimes political nature of punk statements (crass not clash!) and its indubious aesthetical values. 34 years have now gone and punk is still relevant indeed.

a view from Trinità

and back at my house, some photos I love
