The return of pink flamingos

Memorable was not although you'd expected fireworks once the two heroes of weirdness decided to work together. werner and david released a dark comedy which has the merit to bring back the very icon of 20th century kitsch : the pink flamingos!

I was actually very worried that the good times of divine by john waters had almost disappeared in yet another successful exploitation for everyman's garden's delight. it only takes 1 minute to remind...

Going back to those two and their not so incredible film my son, my son what have you done? the pink flamingos are the absolute heroes of a the story that include a lunatic killing his paranoid mother and of course a greek tragedy subplot. I liked the scene shot in macchu picchu and after all chloè sevigny perfomed ok. Here she is in a portait by lele saveri.

The pink plastic flamingos are still one of the most popular lawn ornaments in the states although an evil corporation has just bought the rights to reproduce the 1957 design by Don Featherstone that actually won the Ig Nobel Prize in 1996 for that very effort.

So, the most natural dilemma. to still buy them as they are adorable or to join the 2002 boycott ?

I would rather purchase the splendid plastic pieces on ebay. surely american gardeners must have plenty of originals creatures...and you are still at college GET THIS BOOK!

and possibly this record,too!
