I met Tim Small yesterday eve and he pleased me with a very nice gift. the fist edition of The Milan Review which is a biannual magazine with a theme. it's actually so good that it's precisely what I think we need right now. focusing on good story tellers where words take a little revenge on pictures.
I actually haven't read more than two stories yet but already the project is crystal clear. selected quality contemporary writing. tim made a selection amongst his favourites. shame there are no italians for a "milan review" but here we are, waiting for the next effort.
First edition is dedicated to Ghosts and completed with stories by nelly reifler, rebecca rosemblun, dave cull, jonathan dixon, clancy martin, corinna vallianatos, brent van horne, jonathan keats, glen hirschberg, e.c. osondu, deb olin unferth, tao lin, noy holland, dawn raffel + outstanding artworks by matt furie and maison du crac. just get a copy.
