The Internet Pavilion is Alive and Kicking

once upon a time there was no web. artists were painting and later were taking pictures and making videos.
as other forms of expression humans like to dance and perform and so they have been dancing and performing for thousands of years. good for body, mind and soul.
just recently the web kicked in and the 21st century started shaping its post-human condition. the man machine is in fact not only an amazing LP by kraftwerk but also of course one of the most intriguing contemporary dilemmas.
these days one can not ignore the web arts, the digital revolution and the fact that artists are producing content, meaning and aesthetics which are far more relevant for the digital native generation web. Of course La Biennale di Venezia doesn't have an official INTERNET PAVILION and of course pirate artists and curators miltos manetas (the founder), rafael rozendaal, angelo plessas, gloria maria cappelletti, andreas angelidakis, caroline corbetta and few others (sorry for not including all, I am not supposed to as this is not Flash Art) DECIDED to bring to venice the 2ND INTERNET PAVILION hosted by the Accademia Delle Belle Arti di Venezia at the Island of San Servolo. It is indeed an important statement by corageous people which are pushing boundaries and although the resulting scenario can be much improved I am asking here and now MORE SUPPORT from all of you. Brands, Institutions, Collectors, Curators, Gallerists, Artists, Magazines, Sponsors will have to consider the 3RD INTERNET PAVILION an absolute MUST. we have time- starting tomorrow.
or when is tomorrow? was it today?
