COUNTRY CLUB ROCKS

My mate Christian Strike is a reliable type. I met him long ago when he brought The Beautiful Losers Experience to Milan's Triennale of Design. We spent time together. enjoyed every minute.

Country Club is a Cincinnati gallery project By Christian and Matt Distel which makes me feel romantic. Distance makes people like me feel nostalgic about "something", romantic about almost everything. Have a look at these random pictures from Country Club's arts and feel free to investigate more at http://countryclubprojects.com/. ciao!

Before and After Diane Von Fustenberg party

it's about 20 years I throw parties (I guess now they call it events ) and of course I hate and love what's going on before the crowds start to get there. here is a mix of pictures from recent Diane Von Fustenberg "glamour party" in via Pestalozzi 4, which is where I work. sorry I am not showing people in this blog, unless is necessary. later on, maybe.

A new gallery space for Kaufman Repetto

After more then 10 years of steady, brilliant proposals but tiny enviroments Galleria Kaufmann Repetto moved to a new space, in Milan's Porta Tenaglia. The new location equals perfection. It seems that finally a whole world came together.

These sleeves are a sign of the times. Neglect all. Imagine.

they have all great tunes, too. black mountain, tame impala, gonja sufi, school of the seven bells, health, fuck buttons, indian jewerly...

Some of the things you won't notice that easily.

Apartamento

Indeed Marco Velardi and co. are doing a fantastic job. APARTAMENTO is truly the one of the best news in recent times. A magazine "about people not just objects" is a fresh look at contemporary aesthetics. Indulgent, peculiar, so fucking good. get it!

The media you might want to look at.

Looking at the good stuff it's still possible though. let me state the obvious choices for good and bad ass thinkers alike.

Carlo Antonelli's Rolling Stones is far better then the US version. reading through his witty editorials is an useful exercise. try it  once a month. it won't hurt you. http://www.rollingstonemagazine.it/

Selva Barni and Cay Sophie Rabinowitz -guided by Mounsieur Massimo Torrigiani are publishing an iconic photographic quarterly FANTOM that makes us think life goes on and we are alive and kicking.

VICE ITALY is still a voice to listen, too. Federico Sarica is gone independent but his legacy survives happy and strong..

Gianluca Cantaro's cultural L'UOMO VOGUE is not at all what you might expect. Each issue has a twist on cinematic or arty stuff. it's a good mag. never mind is a Conde Nast title.

These days Simon's Pig magazine is a good platform, too. Music and fashion tips are for real. Check the mag, the webradio  and the blog, too. Teens are safe here.

Milanese street conscious types find relief at UNOTRE while fashionistas can't stop believing in marcelo burlon blog , his enterprise won't leave you alone. make sure you're on the mailing list if you (still) wanna party.

Other things. There are other things (SURE!)to have a break from SB's soap "political" arena.
I'll tell you later.

Italy 2010. Survival tips.

You might decide to get into bunga-bunga or you might as well decide to ignore it. politics here in the belpaese have reached a new low as we are now facing the news that prime minister SB and his mates have saved a 17 years old lolita from a police arrest. wonder why ? she is a great performer and bunga bunga it's her special moment.
YES INDEED WE KNOW. WE ARE TRASH. REALLY DEEP TRASH. NONE LIKE US. YESS.
VIVA! ITALIA.  a few years back...we said it clear and loud! and it's about time to admit it.
